So I got a bunch of colored paper strips and I'm gonna make some snapology yo.
>>537247
The colors might change, though. Just went back to buy moar strips and they didn't have the same batch currently... fuck I hate when that happens.
Continued from yesterday... after realizing that my paper is limited I had to reconsider what to build. So I'm starting with a smaller object than I had in mind first.
Started the assembly. Dunno if I like the color combination, but I'm saving the stronger colors for another object.
very nice

Sorry for exciting you, I decided to go with a different model. Just hope that I got enough paper for it, was too lazy to do the math.
moar...
And a second type of "module"...
Multiple copies of each module are necessary, of course.
Rolling over modules with a desktop chair is not advised, so take care where you put them :(
And the last type of module.
And this is the current state. Looks a bit chaotic, but just a few more parts and the shape will become more obvious.

I think I'm using too many colors...
>>537302
continued... man this is a slow board, am I the only one posting here? It's weekend, and a beautiful spring day, why aren't you folding?
>>537304
This is, by the way, the topology and color scheme I wanted to go for, then just started making modules and now I'm locked into the coloring scheme because I have just enough paper to finish this, if at all... meh
Almost done, and I'm indeed running out of paper. I'm missing almost exactly the amount of orange strips I've "wasted" on this here >>537270 which is kinda extra frustrating (and I have thousands of other strips, but with slightly different colors). Oh well...
love them! u are an artist!
grats!

what?
Dude this looks great, what's it gonna look like!!!11
I also hate when I run over my paper with my office chair.....
It's gonna look like this, but less good. Just trying to copy cool stuff I found online.
>>537388
honestly dude it looks pretty close to that and nearly as good, good job!
this is nice
Finally got new paper in matching colors, so this thing is getting finished today.
Others have been way more industrious, so let's spam this thread with some pictures.
>>537449
Forgot the picture...
>>537450
There's still 2 of the triforce modules missing, but when you take a picture from the right angle it looks pretty finished...
Alright, finally finished. Bottom picture is a version of the same model which I made last year. I'm not really happy with the new version, probably it would look best in 1 or max 2 colors.
And some other snapology stuff, most of them from last year. I made a bunch more, but already gave them away as gifts and don't have pictures.
And the last ones. Rather mediocre because the paper I've used is a bit too thin, snapology works much better with cardstock.
What I love most about this, it's a pretty new and unique kind of modular origami style, and it was invented outside of Japan. By a German, of course.
Those are brutal m8
Damn this thread hasn't had a reply for 60 days!

Yup, that's pretty normal on /po/, at least outside the origami book exchange thread(s). OP here, haven't done any new snapology models since the last posts, but I'll post some more eventually.

fuck, that's awesome
