>>533737
I love that model. Do you have a diagram for it?
>>533735
Any diagrams?
>>533738
Diagram in "Origami Essence".

"a plethora of polyhedra in origami" by Montroll
it's the first link when you google the title. I haven't tried the others polyhedra (yet) but i'd like to try the dodecahedron and the sunken icosahedron. Truly a cool book !
Also pic is eric joisel rat.
What you see here is about 400 sheets of paper, folded and put together. I've finished one wing and the other needs to be built along with the head being attached. Let me know what you think!

Good try. Keep on practicing. The refugee unit you're using is great for modular experience. Your base ring of units is too sloppy made, that also counts for most of the units until the tip of your wing. Although one shouldn't neglect artistic freedom, you should always opt for sharp creases, which is kind of lacking in many of your units. Protip for this unit: Make the units as uniform as possible and stuff them tight together. It'll make a smaller model, but it'll be more sturdy. Give it more units instead, to make a model the same width and hight you wanted in the first place.
>>533745
Your folding skill is good but the paper you're using is shit.
>>533798
well thanks, i guess ? But it depends on what you're looking for in a paper. The gold texture isn't well suited to make animals but the paper is thin, resistant, pretty easy to shape and creases are easily reversed. So it's a good test paper.
>>533745
That actually looks very good fuck what anyone else says
>>533734
Very nice
>>533734
Do you have the diagram?

Cute little rose I made. Not that hard but takes a bit of time to get right.
>>533854
love it
>>533854
thats nice, do you have a diagram?
>>533854
Well done!
That's Sato Naomiki's pentagonal rose, right?
>>533861
>>533865
>>533878
Yeh it is the Sato Naomiki rose.
I used the video tutorial below as the diagram is a bit hard to understand. If you want the diagram I've also included it below.

>>533908
It's in the first video I posted, the first part.
>>533913

>>533757
Yes it is a talent:)

>>534226
good origami bad photo. Can't distinguish shit except that it's an ancient dragon.
>>534226
nice dragon bro
>>534226
nice dragon, what paper did you used ?
>>534249
intestines look pretty neat.
>>534264
looks more like an umbilical cord
>>534226
How big was the sheet?
>>534264
>>534265
yeah i only have this wire at the moment, maybe bright red isn't the best for a plain white origami.
>>534737
wow that owl is cute. do you have a diagram for it? and does it look good with regular origami paper? white paper?
>>534755
it's an owl from roman diaz (the other birds are also from roman diaz). The owl is diagramed in drawning origami, which was released on one of the sharing thread (after a lot of bitching though). The two cardinals are diagramed in origami essence.
If your paper has one white side and one colored size it should be fine. Kraft painted with acrylic should also be fine. Don't take a white/white paper, the color changes makes everything in this model. I think the best is white belly and brown body. like this http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V4aCejXu7uk/Ut-fnUCNUdI/AAAAAAAAZPg/OK3GOsjUcaI/s1600/roman_diaz_origami2.jpg

Haven't found the first.
Me gusta mucho el origami pero no se como hacerlo xd

This years special one from Toukyuu department store
well i think i need better paper for this one... allong with better technique and more patience !
But i'm pretty happy concidering it's my first try and it's 50 steps longer than anything i've folded before.
Spread Hex tessellation by Eric Gjerde.
>>536141
I love this model, you did a great job with it :)
>>536146
share the diagram please?
I wanto try that

Fiery Dragon version 2 by Kade Chan
magpie designed by ryan welsh. I'm pretty happy with it even if the toes are still a bit meh.
>>536673
Looks great, I think the toes are just fine.
>>533879
this cheeky fucker needs to stop using white on white, I can't even fucking see the paper
>>535034
love this book
old photo, shit camera
>>533735
diagrams?
>>533737
i kind of think that paper looks good
>>533804
i agree with you, i really like the paper!!!!
>>534226
I love this model but unless you go with 1.2m then the size of the final model is rather underwhelming! Still good though, great job.
>>533745
i finaly tested some MC and wet modeling at the end. It's easier and faster than what i expected first, but it's still pretty longer than dry folding with metalic paper.
There is also the sheep of gen hagiwara.
>>535034
Just did the wild boar. Think I did ok but not stellar.
>>540424
given the paper you used i think you did good !

Kill yourself
Made this a while ago from a diagram for a wolf. I thought shaping it like a fox looked better though
>>536673
i reshaped the back and the toes with MC, it's better now !
>>540613
Nicely done anon. Do you remember the name of the designer ? also what paper did you used ?
God damn it I've done all of these...
"Made this a while ago from a diagram for a wolf. I thought shaping it like a fox looked better though"
A spider-fox !
but it should be better in red and blue!
:-)
>>540614
It's Noboru Miyajima's Wolf from Tant 14
It was a 30x30 Lokta 60g/m2 (I think) treated with MC
>>540645
Well i definitely like the shaping. There is a store in my town that sell lokta paper but it's either with stupid patterns (like little human skulls...) or thick (probably 90gsm or above). But it's definitely a nice type of paper.
Panda by Yoo Tae Yong, test fold from 17x17cm square. Couldn't shape the head properly because this paper starts to tear if you breathe too hard on it.
made this from a sheet of made from kozo (i think)
>>540732
from the same paper
