Yes, I know - m43 meme, but anyways. Opinions?

an entry level mirrorless camera that has 4k video and is better than expensive compact cameras like X100F. this is the future of amateur hobbyists.

Em10.2 owner. The mark III looks ood for anyone who wants an entry level m43 and doesn't have one already. Not enough of an upgrade for anyone who already has any other Olympus or Panasonic camera though.

Supposedly the IBIS is much stronger on this new em10, on par with the em1 or em5. That and 4K video is the biggest improvement IMO, but I'd rather get a secondhand em5.ii for the weather sealing, or wait to see if the next em5 has the 20mp sensor.
>>
>>3142432
If it only didn't cost three times as much as every other entry level alternative.
>>
>>3142443
what, the em10? it's $649 already, poorfag.
>>
alright! time to cop a em10 mk.2 for ultra cheap

Feels like this camera is only going to be good if they go a long way towards the EM1 II's IBIS.

'cause I frankly don't expect this to be a particularly viable card against Panasonic or Sony otherwise.

no it's not that time
>>
they still couldn't make a selfie-friendly screen?
srsly?

the AF is better as well. as a M10-II owner i'm glad that the mark III is a little bit gimped overall. i don't care about video or 4k on my camera.
makes sense for olympus though because right now the main difference between the M5 and M10-II is weather sealing and maybe the high res mode. the cut between entry level and enthusiasts is now clearer.

Watch the ad. It's totally targeted for people like me, unaustistic casual hobbyists who like to have normal friends and normal jobs and take pictures manually.

I have the EM-10 Mk1 and it wasn't even worth the 300 I paid for it, not going to shell out more than double of that for the same thing. Going M43 was a mistake.

I feel pretty great about my e-m10 ii that I bought for $270 with kit lens, because the new model doesn't have anything I care about
