new to photography (when I took these photos I've only been learning and teaching myself on the trip (and looking at /p/ for small tips) and editing even more so. just got a rx100 for vacation. Also, I like these but I know they aren't great, most of my photos weren't since I was constantly moving, to the point where I never had the chance to use my tripod. But this does not excuse these photos so please judge harshly. Would someone tell me what they think and how I can improve?
I'm providing a lot so if there are constant problems they can be identified. and so I am not making a thread for 1 photo

Did you go to Matsuyama? I suspect you went to Matsuyama.
Review your own photos. Constantly ask yourself "What is the subject of this?" and "How does it stand out?" whether you're using motion, colour, contrast or bokeh you need to make something about the image 'pop'.

Japan sucks for landscapes/cityscapes in summer because of the humidity, but a bit more contrast and colour will make it stand out more.

and I don't like the editing, yours doesn't seem to help enhance composition, but to be just for the sake of editing
since you're shooting Japan I'll point you to the example of Masashi Wakui. His Tokyo photos are distinguishable from tourist snapshit because of identifiable subjects and editing that creates clear contrast between red neon lights and blue alleys, or light and dark.

yeah, I really need to learn the philosophy of editing and when and where to use it. I'm new to it, so I kind of did it till I liked it more than the original photo. but I do see problems in it. But thanks for the suggestion. I'll probably take inspiration but won't copy since it won't be my own.
