When I was a kid growing up in Florida, the Palm Bay/Melbourne Metro Area was on the flight path to the Avon Park bombing range and we used to see them on flight sorties fly over our neighborhoods, sometimes we would see F-117 stealth fighters, sometimes A-10s. We would sit in the park and watch them off in the distance dogfighting and practicing strafe runs and bombing runs.
