So the googlesphere seems pretty fucking perplexed about this tethering issue. Anyone managed to work around this?

Camera's a Nikon D800
Lightroom 5 running on iOS
Pic related, no camera detected, while hooked up to the laptop.
The mf won't detect the camera no matter if I restart it, restart the software, put an empty card in it... I mean fuck, there must be a way, right?

Nikon customer service, probably.

They'll hopefully either figure out your camera's port (or something related) is broken, point you to the correct setting, or figure out nothing is wrong and you need to fix up things on Windows' side.
