Here's a less photoshopped version.

The message is really capturing the relationship between America and our northern neighbor Canada, and my perceived dominance hierarchy between our country and how we are the more dominant power. This the title "American Exceptionalism". The bold colors is to represent the shining beacon that is our country in a world of darkness. The eagle could have been a bit better I'll concede. But overall I still think it's pretty solid.
