Alright lads I'm ready. How do I use manual mode?
lock in your iso, determine if what you're shooting requires a certain shutter speed (is it moving), determine whether you want a shallow or deep depth of field. Adjust shutter speed and aperture accordingly
Which order you do this is up to you and what you're shooting

This. If you're gonna be moving around odd lighting conditions use auto iso and set up your EV what you want the exposure to lean too.

Easy. First figure out what aperture to use. Need short depth of field? Use the lowest number aperture. Need sharpness? Use f8. Need long depth of field? use f16-f22. Then figure out which shutter speed will produce the correct exposure at ISO 100
If the shutter speed is too slow, increase ISO and faster shutter speed.
Sounds complicated, but it's very simple.

Thanks boys. I usually shoot in my city and I'm not a big fan of shallow depth of field. F8 good for everything? When do you use bigger f stops? Is there like a chart for f stops or something visual I can look at.

Without getting too complicated, it depends on how wide your lens is. If you have a really wide angle lens, depth of field isn't as pronounced as a telephoto lens.
Here's a chart that can give you a basic idea of it

It's a 28mm f2.8

what lens/camera

there isn't one aperture that's 'good for everything' but f8 is usually a pretty good start. just go and fucking shoot and try some shit out you shitter.
