in the garage
technically trespassing, if I really want to I could pick some locks and get into the rest of the building
Oh man, so, the other day, I was doing a shoot in an abandoned church. We'd barely started when I heard the sound of car wheels on the gravel alley next to it. I peek my head out and there's a fucking police car there.
So, first thought, if they come in, we'll just try to be all "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize we weren't allowed in here what with the door being entirely gone." So I keep taking pictures and wait for The Man to come take us down.
But hey, it doesn't happen, so I think that maybe the cop was just using that as a shortcut and I peek out the window again--no luck, cop car is still there, parked at the end of the alley right by the entry to the building and between me and my car.
So next thought: Escape. Unfortunately, there's not an easy egress to the building other than the lack-of-door where we came in. We search a bit and find stairs that would potentially lead down and out the back, but they're in really rough shape and end about five steps from the ground. I decide to risk it and climb/jump down.
Fortunately, they are sturdy enough still to hold my weight.
Even more fortunately, there is indeed an exit to the back, since the lack of steps at the bottom meant there was no going back once we'd jumped down.
Less fortunately, the back is just choked with weeds and bushes and trees. We really would have benefited from a machete to get through there, but we managed to claw our way through with some difficulty.
Even less fortunately, there's a fucking neck-high wall around the back. I'm able to hoist my model over it easily (she weighed like a pound and a half), but my fat ass had a lot more difficulty with it. If you'd asked me in the abstract, I'd have said I couldn't ever get over that wall. In the moment, though, I was highly motivated to get out the back, so I managed to do it. Fuck yeah, go me.
We went around the block and got in my car and drove the hell out of that cop's jurisdiction. Pic related.

when will you people learn that no one cares what the inside of spaces like this looks like
a well composed exterior shot of a crumbling facade is much more interesting than "heres a chair lol"
If you just want the thrill of technically breaking the law, smoke weed or something.

wuchu mean "YOU PEOPLE??"

How is that trespassing anyway
A church is most likely public
Should have walked away in front of the cop, it was not like you destroyed anything

>no one cares what the inside of spaces like this looks like
I care.
I mean, not of that specific place, which looks super boring and like any standard suburban garage, but I enjoy looking at photos from inside abandoned buildings in general.

It's an abandoned church, not just a church.
An active church is owned by The Church and typically welcomes people inside (although typically not to take pictures of cute girls in their underpants, which is what I was doing in there).
This abandoned church is probably owned by the City of East St. Louis, and had No Trespassing signs up around it. The Illinois criminal code lists criminal trespass to real property as a Class B misdemeanor with penalties up to 6 months in jail and a $500 fine.
While it's unlikely that I would have faced any real consequences, it's not *impossible*, especially if the ESTL PD decided they wanted to make examples of some trespassers to discourage people from doing so.

Brick kiln I bet
Here is some abandoned mining equipment. I got closer, but couldn't get inside at the time. I'll probably post when I go back.

Your opinion is fine. Worded poorly though.
If this isn't the photography you like, show me some of your photos of abandoned spaces or something that would fit the subject of this thread.

Wasn't this a set piece in stalker cop?
Good old abandoned Rush Copley in Aroura, might post some more shitty pics if people like
>>3128295
Some type of brick factory. Really cool place, there's not that much cool abandoned stuff where I live.
>>3128298
Yup. These are the actual kilns they used. There was a bunch on the property.
>>3128315
Nope. Not a prop or fabricated set. Just really old shit.
>>3128061
Cool story. That said your model looks like the embodiment of a yeast infection

>I've never even spoken to a woman besides my mother in real life
I mean, okay, I guess. That's a weird thing to proclaim on a message board like you're proud of it, but I suppose congratulations?
