looking back at them i pretty much agree about the processing side, most of these are like +-2 years old shots, and, desu, i still struggle with getting the image that i want (i finally bought a calibrated panel a few weeks ago, so, working on that even more)

as to this - i overdid it on purpose - i saw something similiar with my eyes while shooting - the sun "firing" up the trees in background, the cold shadows amd the slight fog.. just had to push everything a bit further

sky/clouds are good, trees are under exposed, the sunset itself is pretty bad, doesn't work with the tree line. get an actual subject in there and it might save the pic.
