a couple of days ago I was in yellowstone national park and a bunch of people were holding up traffic trying to get a picture of something so i pull over and there is a huge bull elk just lying near the road. I had my camera out so I got some OK pics. he hadn't ran away yet so i got closer, eventually im like 5 or 6 feet away from it and it get up and just looks at me so i took a picture (pic attached) then got the fuck out.
some rando yelled at me "that was really fuckin' stupid"
turns out a bunch of people die to those things a year.

I once took a picture of a nigger in the wild. Thankfully he was too busy throwing gang signs at another wild nigger from another area so he didn't shoot me.

yup

for me, probably some of these or similar, low level racing can be sketch. also /really/ hard to pan when the car passes less than five feet away. fences are your friend, don't be like me.

Those bison are dangerous too, I saw some bears and coyotes out there also.

I was in Mexico when I snapped this angry doggo, he was very protective of his owners house

Cool dirt track shot, anon.

My shot would have been an outta control Celica engined Sprite that overcooked a turn in a parking lot gymkhana I was shooting and came straight at me. Beautiful series of shots that were lost in a HD crash.

So there's this from a walk in the Fakahatchee; we surprised each other and I should not have squatted down, but my first instinct was the picture.

And it didn't kill me, or even hiss.

Older man and woman wearing weird period clothes coming my way about 10m away, I pre focus and step in front of them and take the photo of both of them. The old guy grabs me by the collar and starts yelling and spitting in my mouth. i told him i liked their outfit and he just let go and walked away.

coyotes are little bitches and will run away unless they are rabid.

black bears aren't too bad, griz are no good

most everything else except moose and elk are scared of people.

You're right; not really. I had watched him for about fifteen minutes before I approached. You never want to get within a couple body lengths of them. So I was a good twenty plus feet away. They are very quick on a lunge -- the tail is like a big spring -- and one this size might be able to run 7-8 mph. But they don't like to run and will only do so on land if provoked or threatened. And I was a middle distance sprinter. So, yeah; really almost no danger. On the other hand being in the water with them is another, much less obvious, but truly dangerous setting.
