Is full frame a meme? I heard that Fujifilm outperforms Canon full frame sensors for much less money.

obvious bait is obvious...
...but because ppl are gonna take it anyway, here I go:
idgaf about sensor size unless I'm adapting lenses. If I'm adapting full frame lenses, I want dat full frame, senpai. If not, it boils down to what works for me. I have a full frame a7, an APS-H M8, and a m43 GH5 (which I use for video). They all have their uses.

Define "outperforms". Canons have the best "rendering" at the "expense" of slightly narrower "operational parameters".
Here we go again bois.

>Is full frame a meme?
yes
so is APS-C, m43, medium format, film, digital, photos, photography, photographers, cameras, everything. everything is all a meme according to /p/ and we should all just kill ourselves.

FINALLY someone who understands.

>obvious bait

Kys my man

Back in the 90s fujifilm was better than kodak and most other crap

A lens can only focus absolute to 1 plane.
Film has 3 separate layers (planes)
1 red, 1 green, and 1 blue
The lens focuses on the middle layer, so that layer is sharper.
On Kodak film, that layer was red. So Kodak film shot better skin tones
On Fuji film, that layer was green. So Fuji shot better landscapes
On Agfa film, that layer was Blue. So Agfa film shot better water and sky.
That is why their packaging was the color it was

I might be stoned but Fuji may have had it right
>>3113003
shieettt it all makes sense now
>>3113003
any source on that huge claim?
>>3113003
Would also help fuji as green is a more medium wave length as opposed to the long reds and short blues.
Human eyes are more sensitive to green tons than the other tons too.

What I want to know, is how Fuji can make such awesome film, but totally dropped the ball with the terrible x-trans sensors.
I guess I shouldn't expect a chemical company to get things right with electronics, but all they had to do was take a normal bayer sensor and they would be set.
everything post ilford 400 and Pentax me super is a meme
>>3113129
I've been shooting with a fuji these last few months. the x-trans does pretty well the colors are great but its the demosaic in raw processors that kinda drop the quality. otherwise these thigns could be pretty damn sharp. but i like the color array definitely lots of green pixels

and as i say that of course i can't find landscape pics

Sensor doesn't change, it's the cfa that's different, and Bayer is actually a generic term.
It sucks that adobe can't into a 6*6 array, but that's their issue, and a caveat emptor.
>>3112910
How do you like your M8? It's a 1.3 crop factor? I fel like a 35mm would be pretty comfy.
>>3113129
they stopped producing the Super CCD
>>3113124
is that a fargo reference?
>>3113129
The S5 Pro had a bitching sensor in it, but that was 11 years ago.
