/p/ I need some advice. I'll keep this short.
My Fuji X100S has fucked itself. I've decided it's not worth the $to repair, and I would be better of selling it dead on ebay.
I was going to replace it with a Ricoh GR II
However, I also own a D7000 with several lenses, and am kinda getting sick of lugging so much gear around. So I also have the idea of selling every piece of photographic equipment I own and going to an APS-C mirrorless system.
What would you do /p/?
A.) Keep the D7000, sell the dead X100S for parts, and buy a Ricoh GR II
B.) Sell it all, and go APS-C mirrorless, such as XT-1
Thanks
keep the d7000, wait a few months for the GR III to come out.
or buy an x100f.

The difference between APS-C mirrorless and fullframe mirrorless is minor, so I'd say it is at least worth the wait to see if Sony's upcoming a7iii will be any good.
Also go X-T2, not T1.
Otherwise yea, I'd say go all in for mirrorless. I'd keep some of my dslr lenses if they were any good though.

I meant size difference.

No point getting both dude, too much overlap...
Buy the GR II for now, pull the plug on selling D7000 later
Did you like your X100S? I personally couldn't live without an EVF or OVF which rules out the GR for me.

except for the lenses fe lenses are huge comapred to apsc lenses

Totally.
Absolutely massive.

>one lens that is a bit small
You always gonna find small examples. In every category for every mount there are smaller lenses and bigger lenses with the same numbers written on them.
Bigger sensor => Bigger projection required => more and bigger glass => bigger and heavier
You can't argue against physics with cherrypicking.

i´m a sonycuck myself, would never pay 700 bucks for a fucking 35 f 2.8

>he picked the one small lens made by somy
>2.8
Yea, the 35mm is kind of an exception, but it is a fantastic lens. Tack sharp corner to corner even wide open, and with no CA or other issues.
Most of the Sony primes are decently sized, but their zooms are massive.

Just get a X100T or F. It's more compact than any other camera mentioned here and you're already used to it.
>>3106253
Most of their primes are pretty massive too. They suffer from glassitis.
>>3106168
It was my favorite camera I've very used.
>>3106366
Get the 100F then. It's truly the camera the x100 series should have been this whole time.
>>3106253
Pretty much every prime lens is tack sharp with no CA at f/2.8
It's fucking f/2.8, that's where you normally stop down to for best image quality....
Get a GR, GRII is a meme.
>>3106374
This.
GR is a meme now. X100f is the only compact for professional camera owners.
>>3107340
how so, is it just marginal improvement for the price?
x70
>>3105430
sell it all for xt2 or 20.
or a7.
Go GR now, then once you can't stand the D7000 go XT2 / XT20 / A7
I have a X100s and a GR for some dumb reason.
I'm thinking about selling the X100, I rarely use it.
>>3110438
How do you find the lack of viewfinder?
Op here, I have decided to get a used GR, and then once my tax return comes sell all my Nikon gear and get a Sony A7 (unsure what variant). Cheers for the help :)
>>3112545
Waiting on the a7 is a good idea.
a7iii comes out in November, will be interesting to see what Sony does with it. Each release from Sony seems to add a lot.
