Why do the colors look so different in Chrome compared to Lightroom?

windows color management

Did you export the file with a color profile?

Are there any specific settings I should change?

These are the settings I use when exporting.

So I'm not the only one at least. It bothers me because when I upload photos to facebook I know at least half of everyone will see the crushed version of the image.
Also adding --enable-monitor-profile to the shortcut didn't make any difference for me.

no, can't do shit
color management on windows is bonkers

It has got to be a problem with Lightroom. The screenshot in my first post is saved from mspaint, and it actually displays the colors correctly.

no, lightroom is correctly color managed software

I changed the color space setting when I exported from Lightroom, from sRGB to BenQ (which is my monitor's brand), and now it looks alright. The question is if not using sRGB is such a good decision in the long run.
For anyone using chrome - how do these look for you? Is there any difference? The blacks are supposed to have a pretty strong green tint.
This is using sRGB.

Also to anyone not using chrome - how do these images compare for you?

Haha yeah, I'm a basic hipster so that's what I was going for.
Weird thing is when I upload these two files to facebook they look identical (and not the correct version). But here and when I open up the files directly into chrome they're very different.

facebook, just as many other platforms strips exif and attached profile flag
so windows/the browser will either fuck it up completely or auto-assume srgb, depending on the software
>>3102773
Okay, that makes sense.
So in conclusion there's nothing that can be done about it. Chrome doesn't display sRGB properly, and facebook forces you to use sRGB. That's a bummer.
I guess the best bet is to export using a different color profile, and at least have the image displayed correctly on some platforms.

Print them as large as you can afford, bringing them everywhere with you showing your friends, family and coworkers the purest form of your vision.
