Hey guys, total noob here.
I am trying to make a low quality live music video for one of my songs with a Canon Powershot G11 and a Tripod.
How do you edit together different camera angles like in the video below? Do you need multiple cameras?
Also, are there any decent free camera editing softwares to adjust contrast and put filters on the video?

why not delete this thread and ask in the /vid/eo general thread instead?
You can do multiple cameras or you can do different angles with the one camera and move it around for each take.

Yes, you need multiple cameras. Technically you could do different takes, but you'll have to perfectly reproduce every single take the exact same way, and it will be complete ass.
If you have multiple cameras, you sync the video through the audio with some sort of instant sound, like a clap. On each video clip from each camera, you simply match up the sounds of the claps, and just like magic, each video track will be matched as well. to make it simple, you can simply overlay each video on a layer above eachother, and simply cut out to reveal the video playing below it

I can answer the editing software question. Yes there's a bunch of free editing software for video. I would personally recommend Shotcut. Very powerful for a free tool.
