Anyone dabble with 360 degree video records?
Worth it?
I like the idea of archiving my life in 360, so I can later watch it on a VR headset
Is this just a meme technology, or the first step towards Star Trek TNG-esque holodeck recorders?
Love to hear you /p/ thinks of 360 stuff
Any recommended products?

Ya, I've done some shooting with spherical videos.
It's fun, but you realize very quickly how different it is than with regular photography.
Specifically, I made videos in 360. Documentary/journalism style.
I used the Samsung Gear 360, and they're rather excellent for the price. We're looking to purchase a Sony a7sii VR rig. But for entry level things, the Samsung gear 360 is the way to go.
