Hmm none of them are really interesting. Learn the basics of composition and keep shooting!
sorry about the randomness these were the most recent ones i had but theyre all in bunch of different folders

The hard, honest truth is that these look like you walked around your neighborhood, pointed your camera in random directions, then fired away.
When you see something you find interesting, try asking yourself why you find that interesting. Then, try to see how to better capture that within a two-dimensional image. Is it the angles? The light? The person? The mood? Focus in on that thing, and cut out the rest.
Something needs to be interesting.
Either the subject, the pov or the edit.
These are all bland.
Look up composition, if you want to do architecture, find better architecture or get a better pov.

Believe it or not, it's normal to have uninteresting photos, especially when you're just starting to learn. Most people don't start out taking good photos, and even good photographers can take bad ones. Just keep shooting and learning. I've taken many thousands of photos and most of them are still garbage, but they're getting better, I can see the progress from when I started ~8 months ago.

Oh, that's not true at all, anon. There's a lot of potential here. I can tell that you're recognizing interesting lines and lighting already. You just have to keep shooting. I'm always hesitant to give this advice, but if you're shooting digital, you have the luxury of firing off a ton of shots. So next time you see something interesting, try taking a lot of photos of it from different angles and whatnot. Then, you can go back later and find which one has the most power. The more you do this, the more you'll start developing your eye, and you'll start taking less photos per subject because you'll be getting it right sooner.
I think you're lucky to get one really good photo in 100. Maybe even 1000. It's not easy, especially starting out. But you have a really good base here, and I would just keep pushing.
Every day, try and go out and shoot a little. Like I said, in an above post, when you have that urge to raise your camera to your eye, try to think of WHY you have that urge. Then try and find the best way to capture it.
And, please, for the love of god, have some fun with it! Don't put the pressure on yourself to be the next great photographer immediately. You should look at photography as a chance to get outside (or inside or wherever) and see things a little differently. Have fun, and you'll naturally get some good photos along the way.
Another thing. It looks like many of these photos were maybe just around your neighborhood. Sometimes the best way to find new inspiration is to actually go somewhere a little more interesting. Realize that's not always easy, but try to get out there and explore a bit. Better photos will come naturally.
Finally, look up some the works of some renowned photographers. I like William Eggleston a lot, and I also think Todd Hido's book, "Landscapes, Interiors, and the Nude," is a really nice look into a good photographer's mind without being all artsy fartsy.
Keep shooting. You've got this.
put the camera down and kys

This one, in my opinion, is the only one with potential. I'm actually kind of pissy it's at eye level, and dead on. There's really interesting leading lines, colours, lighting/shadow, and architecture here for a good minimalist photo, but you wasted the chance. That's alright though. This is the kind of photo I'd take and learn from back at home scrolling through. You've got to spend a little more time with the scene or subject(s) you find intriguing. Imagine them from different angles, then walk and move to actually *see* those different angles to double check your minds-eye. Take more than one photo, at different exposures, at different angles and pov's. The more you do this, the quicker you'll get at imagining the scene, and taking the shot you want. The most important thing in doing photography is patience. You have to be patient and think. Ask yourself questions and answer them. Like, why is it interesting, what are you really being drawn to, what does it say or make you think/feel – and most importantly, how do you isolate that feeling by framing the subject/scene.
Now get out there and keep practicing with this in mind!

I see the intent in this but the clouds are distracting. I would say re shoot this on a clear day when the sun is at a low angle. Really like the flatness of this
