I think the one thing still missing is that the half-tones don't exactly map to the tones expected for a checker pattern in the dithering scheme used. At this point I'd probably spin up Matlab or Python, but meh.

Sorry to be a party pooper but op used an app called 8bit photo lab. Also the original Gameboy Camera shot in Black and White not this greenish tint shown It also shot in 256x224 and all shots op gave have a larger aspect ratio.
