Nope. Convoluted pole system. Felt like a genius until I realized that I got the idea to try the symmetrical one, then realized that I liked that better and could've just had somebody hold it up on one side and cut them out in Photoshop if I'd known I was going to do that from the start.

It's not horrible. Exposeure is well-balanced, if a bit dar, and the composition is too centered, but I've seen worse. It could be improved dramatically by putting a well-lit subject on that pier.

Also, it looks like you reposted that from facebook, which a) is bad for your image quality, and b) removes the metadata.

True. I shoot a lot of video, and I prefer darker images, which is where the darkness probably comes from. I posted from my phone, which is why I did the Facebook thing. If I was doing an actual shoot, I totally would've have a model or something in there, that would've been dope, you're right. Thanks senpai.

Hey guys.
I've come across a peculiar problem lately and I don't know how to go about it. I have both an IPS and a TN monitor. My IPS colors often look more saturated, and I find myself working in post on it since it's my main monitor.

For example, in this picture, the man's calf area looks more saturated and the light on the posts seems more saturated/not quite as exposed, but on my other monitor it seems the opposite. It's not an extreme difference, but an annoying one. Most people I know have TN panels, and all other monitors I have to compare it to off hand that isn't my main IPS are TN panels, so I don't really have a range of reference to tell if my IPS is just off or if it's just the different between TN and IPS.

So should I edit on my TN monitor instead? Or should I keep editing on my IPS?

here's a tip: when you stand in front of a wall, house etc. and look upward, your brain compensates for the slanting by making it seem more straight. Your camera however can not do that. So what you want to do is either step back and use a lens with a longer focal length or fix it in post (LR can do it automatically)

Got myself a new lens, a 2.8/28mm Exacta FD for 25€
It has a "macro" setting, but on my MFT camera it's a 1:5 maximum. I can get 15cm close to an object that way.
Pic related is stopped down to 4.0 and as close as possible to the lichen
This is barely better than a toy lens, but I like the swirly effect I can get with it.
What kind of shots (video too) would you recommend this lens/look for?
