I'm trying to write secret messages to people. Is it possible to write something with UV paint, take a normal photo of it, then, in Photoshop or Gimp, say, remove all non-UV colors?
Pic OC, but unrelated
>uv paint
so sunscreen
Does that bear have eight eyes or something wtf

Here you go OP. This is from the YouTube channel, Computerphile. Which is a branch of the very popular Numberphile channel.

This particular person is an excellent presenter, and is very knowledgeable in his field. He has some great videos.
But what you're trying to do is called steganography. And this video explains it.

This is a good video. I love Numberphile.
But my question is more about the mechanical color ranges for common cameras and photo editing tools. I want to be able to paint a message on a wall, have anyone be able to take a photo of the wall, then take those photos and remove bits that are not on the UV spectrum.

i'm no expert, but i doubt the resulting photos contain any data that is not.. visible?

I want to test it, but I don't even know what function of GIMP/PS to use...
