400 speed consumer film, stored poorly, maybe expired, and developed at a crappy lab

Canon Prima Zoom Mini (and expired Lomography film). YW.

Also, I know the 4chan generation is illiterate when it comes to attributing work, but please credit other photographers' photos. We're all in the same boat here.

OP's upload is a crop.

It's a 550d at 1600iso

People that don't specify their camera are trash that deserve what they're getting.

That's a whole lot of digital noise. I seriously doubt it's film. No scanner is that shitty.

If the film is mistreated or underexposed and brought up, or if it's shit Lomo 800, I can definitely see that being film grain.

The photographer has a "what's in my bag" feature on Lomography, so it's probably Lomo 800.

That looks like exactly the kind of digital noise at high ISO on my Pentax Q-S1. It looks quite film-like at 1600, in fact. But it's obviously not grain. You can even see chroma noise.

I'm still doubtful. Wouldn't be surprised if this person was just trying to pass off digital images as film for hipster reasons.

Set ISO as high as possible, turn down color vibrance and finally overexpose. You're welcome.

expired film, badly underexposed and scanned on default settings

I have seen this effect on Zenit cameras.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
