I was in Europe for three weeks and took some pictures along my journey.

Is this one from Salzburg OP? Reminds me of a fort over there. I really like >>3073871 and >>3074077 a lot keep up the good work.
Here's a picture I took when I was there last summer. Originally, I took it on film but I never got the negatives scanned so here's the shitty quality phone camera version.

No, that's Dubrovnik. Thanks for the feedback and nice photo you took there yourself. Looks like an idyllic setting.

stfu, you twat ...
>>3074301
Probably the best photo here (so far, at least). Now try it in black and white or perhaps another filter to make it old-timey.
Had no time the past couple days, will post a few more now.
>>3075954
I don't really do this kind of stuff; usually just try to make the photo look accurate to life. But here's a quick filter I put on that seems to look alright.

my favorite one
>>3077459
I'm quite sad this was the best picture you managed to take in Tallinn.
But yeah most pictures are "american dad wearing jorts and a fanny pack" tier
>>3077464
If i was to critique these as art, I would say that they fail to capture any real essence or flavour of the countries you visited. They are compositionally average, and mostly very dull in subject matter. These is no underlying theme or thought that can be inferred from then, or about you.
>>3074301
The lighting in this scene is nice, but it lacks any real subject.
>>3073868
This is already an art piece, which to you credit you have taken the time to compose, but at the end of the day it's just a wall.
However you enjoyed taking them, and by the looks of it you had a great trip to a wealth of countries and travel is always a good thing.
If photography is something which truly interests you please keep shooting and hone the craft and your style.
>>3077758
I really appreciate your response.
This is something that always makes me think a bit, in the theatre of creativity -- what does it mean to have one's own style or theme? I fear that if it had a strong theme, that would mean I was always doing the same thing. Shooting the same subjects, or shooting at the same time of day, or repeating the same gimmick, whatever it may be, in most or all of my photos. And I do think it's lame when I see that, in music or photography or painting. When someone is a one-trick pony.
I don't even think I have one good trick anyway, but if I did, I'd still try to do different things so as not to become one dimensional.
But then, I imagine you have a different conception of what it would mean to have one's own style, or to feature an underlying theme. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.

Sweet! You took a good poster shot of a bar to hang in a bar
>>3073866
IMO better as B&W. try it, i dare u.
>>3073867
Nice shot, just a little boring. Needs something else in the shot; subject-wise. Person, bookbag, anything really.
>>3073868
I like this; would've liked it more as a wider shot.
>>3073871
Open up 2 stops. Also, foreground railing is distracting.
>>3074077
I like this but something bothers me about it. Did you use a tripod? maybe going landscape would've been better, but i wasn't there; maybe it wasn't a good shot in landscape.
>>3074078
This would have been great had that spigot thing not been in the shot OR off to the right of the shot. Take time to frame your shot, /p/rother.
>>3074080
sorry for samefagging. anyway, i like this. I'm a huge fan of B&W shots. I believe color should be used for photos that can only be appreciated in color; flowers, certain landscapes, etc.
>>3074082
my statement on color above can be referenced to this photo. great use of color.
>>3074255
Should have wished for clouds. The boring sky ruined it for you.
