Just bought a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8, and when changing the aperture, the blades closing or opening produce sound.
The AF is also very loud in live-view.
Is this normal?

No, it's not normal. It probably has fungus.

The aperture blades might be warped, could happen when closed down and exposed to sunlight for some time. If you screww off the front element the whole optics come out and you can take a better look at the aperture blades and bend them back with your fingers. Just screw the optics back and you're good to go.

Make sure to clean the camera and lens before you open the lens up.

Screw driven AF is loud (and fast!), old motorized AF for EF is probably loud too.
How loud is the aperture sound? Definitely audible with my 17-70 C, never had a problem. Can't remember if 17-70 aperture sound was any louder, it probably was not.
Aperture sound depends on the mount. EF's apertures are objective-driven, Pentax' and Nikon's (and Sony's?) are body-driven.

It's Canon.

Clicking of EF aperture is quieter because there are less movnig parts (no coupling) but it still can be audible.
