but something in his eye indicate a softbox, no? or that theres so much light coming from the side. maybe you mean available light as in the interior of the place available light (regular design etc, not photography lights) , you mean that would suffice for such an image? Considering having Canon 5DS with 2.8 70-200, it wouldnt be to complicated/come out as dark? Thanks

Lol, no.

never herad of that, dont know if they exist where i live.. elincrom have similar? which one of softbox or beutydish would you consider in this scenario? (thats what i currently have) .. i might need to rent.. i guess similar to your recomendation worst case scenario.. thanks

lol yes. You can see the sunset right behind him.
>>3064226
You can still see motion blur.

I believe this would be most appropriate.. and regarding >>3064228 its maybe probably 1/60 or 1/125 even.. that captures the basketball.. no? I think i will use Canon EOS 5DS, 2.8 70-200mm and softbox octabox 135cm from the diagonal sida of model, slightly above.. big windows in the background as on image (wil be shooting in a hotel suite, so similar conditions) .. and hope for the best :) thanks all for the thoughts.

I'm thinking on generic terms, I know it's fast enough to capture a falling basketball, but not fast enough to avoid blur, so it's probably between 1/80th to 1/320th depending on how fast the ball is moving. I know this from people that insist on doing these stupid jumping shots, if I don't go faster than 1/320th I get blur, it's not as if a basketball would be moving much faster than them.
