Is there any way to find the location of this person from the image? This guy just went missing while kayaking today near me. I don't know if that the original but I'm sure I could get it.

Do you recognize the spot?
If so yes - it's where it was taken.
If no - then tough luck.

Although the original might contain GPS coordinates in the EXIF.

Yeah man, it's not the original. The filename is from facebook and it's a screenshot of a snapchat story, so you won't be able to find any EXIF data with GPS coordinates.
