Taken in a halloween festival, I raised my compact camera as they passed by and let off a flash. I don't have a reaction shot, but she was very upset and called me an asshole. I just kept walking.

this is a very big problem here. people act like you did something harmful to them when you take a photo in public spaces. i'm not finding an excuse but it keeps me from taking pictures that i would like. i even questioned by security and threatened with police interrogation because i took a photo with my phone in underground. at least it wasn't film and i only deleted jpg files.
