what do you guys use to view and edit your photos? i'm looking for something lightweight and quick, honestly the windows 8 photo app thingy works pretty well but just VIEWING the photos they're compressed as shit unless you zoom in and zoom back out, after which the photo looks crisp again. it's fucking annoying. looking for some shit thats not retardedly gaudy like gimp. honestly have not tried photoshop cause im scared to torrent it and y'allreadykno i'm a broke ass bitch

also side note ive noticed that setting pictures to my wallpaper is compressed to fuck as well, any fixes for this or the windows 8 photo app thing?

Lightroom, easier to use than photoshop and itll do until you need to do more advanced things. Just torrent it. The FBI arent gonna bust through your door.

Irfanview for viewing and simple post-processing. Very light on resources and has a great set of things you can do with it.

Photoshop for heavy duty stuff

XNview for viewing everything and organizing general images (i.e. mostly images saved from 4chan)
