Hey I'm usually from /toy/ and I need to get a filter fory camera (canon powershot SX50 HS). Right now when I go outside to take photos I have to do it in the shade or when it's cloudy because the sun light is too harsh. Which filter would work? And where can I get such a thing?

get a neutral density filter, it will filter out bright light

How do I know which ones will fit my camera?

oh no shit, apparently i have the reading comprehension of a four-year-old.
in that case, OP, if you want to use a filter you need to buy an adapter for your camera, like so: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/739887-REG/Canon_4728B001_4728B001_Filter_Adapter_FA_DC67A.html (there's one on Amazon, too, but it's more expensive)
once you have that adapter, you can use any 67mm filter. browse thru these results, here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/search?Ntt=67mm%20nd%20filter&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&typedValue=&Top+Nav-Search=

>sunlight too harsh
If this means you're getting too much glare then try a linear polariser (you won't need a circular one with a mirrorless cam).
Thanks for all the help guys. Have some skeletons.
