alright /p/ which one is best?
the f-1n? the pentax LX? the nikon f3?
>>3044492
Obviously debatable, but the Nikon F give me a boner.
Nikon D5, probably.
Other contenders exist - none of which is a film camera. Only a small minority of pros will shoot 35mm film at this point.
>>3044495
i meant what audience they targeted mister
F3P or F3H depending on what you want, but really any of the professional cameras from the era would be fine.
>>3044492
What is this shit? Is the Canon F-1 the new meme camera?
>>3044508
what do you mean?
>>3044509
I keep seeing threads about it.
>>3044511
maybe.
i think the f3, ae-1, and k1000 are the biggest meme cameras desu
>>3044511
There are 2 threads about it, chill the fuck out you raging autistic cunt.
The best 35mm film camera ever made was and still is the Nikon F2
It is the most rugged/robust all manual 35mm film slr.. It improved on the original Nikon F, and everything after the F2 was a meme electronic camera that are all dying.
The Nikon F2 will last many lifetimes
The pros are here to get the shot, not fiddle around with manual focus. F6, or EOS 1v. Or if you have to pay for it yourself, EOS-1n and F5.
Take your pick.

F2 mechanics vs F3 aesthetics?
>>3044548
Well I only have one lifetime and all my electronic cameras seem to be working fine so far.

F2 with eye-level finder is pretty aesthetic as fuck. Though F3 HP is beautiful in its own way too.
>>3044571
The HP prism is a lot more practical especially with glasses, but if we're talking purely looks then the HP is too tall and the regular prism looks nicer. As much as I love the F3 though, I have to admit the unmetered F2 with the pointy prism is a e s t h e t i c especially the F2 Titan.

Here's a better comparison. Actually, I'm just going to dump a few of these old ads because they're awesome.

> prongs on a camera that clearly doesn't need it
I am the only person on this planet that immediately removes the prongs from my ai-s lenses and just put the screws back in? I see a large majority of photos with the prongs on cameras that don't use them, I seriously doubt more than a handful of people actually need the backwards compatibility.
I just put the prongs away somewhere safely in case I decide to sell the lens.
>>3044656
I like the prongs for the a e s t h e t i c s. I find my 50 1.8 series E kinda weird without it. Also great for snagging on shit in your bag.
>>3044656
Why the fuck? It's not like removing the prongs saves you a lot of weight or something. The F mount has 60 years of accumulated useless baggage and prehistoric mechanical linkages, the indexing prongs are hardly the only thing. Modern lenses have electronic contacts that tell the camera all of the lens specs and yet they still have little tabs and indentations on the mount that identify it as AI-S type and tell AI cameras the maximum aperture of the lens. And they still mechanically stop down the lens in the two thousand and seventeenth year of our lord.
>>3044661
Because they look fucking stupid.
>>3044656
Prongs are sexy.
Converted non-ai to ai lenses like my 55mm 3.5 micro normally have the prongs removed.
>>3044495
1dx2 is far better in that tier
No mention of the Canon ELAN 7NE??
