Anyone here have experience with infrared photography?
I have a Nikon D200 body that I don't use, but I thought about switching it to an IR sensor to give it some type of use again.

Ive tried PS actions but they dont give the greatest effect. really only the BW IR works nicely as an action.
Been wanting to invest in an ebay ir camera but cant really justify spending the cash.

I guess it's nice to have as a side thing, especially if it's cheap. The sensor conversion would cost me about $275 from LifePixel, but it seems like a good move if I want a camera that will be dedicated to that.
Nice photo btw

this thread actually got me wanting to do some searching. Found a little Rebel XT IR for under 200.

Might be worth it for a side thing as you said.
Also thank you!

Yeah sort of a niche camera. I think as long as you shoot RAW you should get some good results. I think the shots will be more rewarding with the colors you get rather than MP quality.
Bump for interest
If you can put up with SmartMedia cards the ancient Olympus C-X0X0 series cameras are extremely easy to convert to IR and probably go for $3 apiece these days. Good entry level toy. 720nm filter~

If I'm gonna get pixelated quality like that, I'd rather not bother.
I'm torn between the 665nm and 720nm filter for my D200
