the angle is slanted. The arches are frustratingly not symmetrical. The subjects suck, my eye doesn't really focus anywhere with the people or the stands. The ratio of darks to whites feels wrong. And to top it all off its all soft focused. All I can say is keep taking photos and you'll figure out what looks good. Compile a look book of images you like and try to find a similarity with them. When you get better, push yourself to not take a photo unless you know its going to be good. But yeah, this photo is bad and you should strive to be better.

I shoot on an old Nikon fa. This was some cheap kodak 400 and this was how the photo turned out. With contrast and sat this would look better but I'm posting it as it is.

I'm guessing you don't really know what too shot, so you shoot anything and everything? Try asking yourself "why do I put the camera to my eye right now? What is it here that I like? How can I capture this in the best possible way?"

Look to the "old masters" of art and photography to learn composition.

The color looks really weird in this one but I have no idea how to fix it. I tried to change the HSL saturation and luminance in LR but for some reason it never changes the color of those photo. I think it has something to do with my scannings.
