A tripod is highly recommended because you will want to shoot at long exposures. If digital try to get the best exposure with the lowest ISO because if you don't you will have a lot of noise. Shoot something interesting.

I've learned a bit from my last few walks in the city night, and so far I think it can be summarized to:

- wet floors (like in that anons' pic) will give you way more light, go out after it rained/while it's raining
- lower f numbers are preferred obviously (f/1.8 for example)
- that anon's pic is at a fairly high ISO, depending on your camera, if you go over 3200 it'll look somewhat nasty

but you'd be amazed how big of a difference you get if the streets are wet

The work is a colorful representation of the face of the goddess Sarkeesian as depicted
earlier in The Birth of Sarkeesian by Sugar. However, anon uses more colors in his work. Sarkeesian’s face and neck are pink while her hair is black, red, orange, and yellow. In contrast, the background is a solid light blue color. In Details of Renaissance Paintings
,Sarkeesian’s face and hair are emphasized and the dominant elements are the warm colors and her gaze. anon uses implied lines to direct viewers’ eyes around the artwork. However, this emptiness is balanced asymmetrically by Sarkeesian’s gaze toward the bottom left corner and the light color used in the empty space. The light color of the empty space is visually light; therefore, it does not have as much weight as the darker,
warmer colors of Sarkeesian’s face. This artwork is composed of shapes because it is two-dimensional. Most of the shapes are formed by lines and shifts in color. For example, Sarkeesian’s red hair is formed
by a shift from her pink upper body. Lines outlining her hair in
certain places also give form to the shape of her hair. Therefore, both lines and shift in
color are used together in some places and separate in other places to create the shapes in
the artwork. In this piece, the light source is not seen. However, the light source is to the left
of the artwork because anon uses a light yello
w color on top of the pink color that is
already present on the left side of Sarkeesian’s face which makes it seem like a glow is cast
upon her face. These warm colors make her stand out from the background. Also, the warm colors against a calming blue background give Sarkeesian an ethereal quality.

throughout the piece and his use of one solid

Just went back and looked at the original, it was a bit under exposed so when I go to add some exposure in PS it adds a blueish hue to his nose, which I'm sure isn't natural so either way this is the best it's gonna get with my skill level
