I recently was gifted three Nikon lenses. Can't delve further but know it's not theft. I'm looking into two options; 1. Get a film camera to utilize the lenses. 2. Get a dSLR <$1000 3. Get an adapter for my Canon dSLRs and not have autofocus or aperture control.
What should I do (selling them is NOT an option) and to #2. any recommendations given the budget?
Thank in advance

Not a Nikon fag, but iirc you can buy an electric adapter for Nikon to Canon

1) return them to the pensioner you mugged in the street, tyrone
2) if you dont want to invest lots into a Nikon DSLR, consider getting an AF film SLR. Or something like a D200 for comfy CCD feels. Those are the film era holy trinity lenses. Sharp in the center, softer in the corners wide open, sharpen up when stopped down. Built like tanks, reliable ol' screw drive AF.
Shop around on ebay and if you're patiernt you can get a d800 for <$1000
Or wait for d8xx to get announced and d800 prices could go sub 800 used. That's a decent set of lenses.

Been leaning toward doing a film AF SLR, probably the route I'll go. Since they are ideal film glass I'll spare no expense on the film camera and still price it out as much as the D200 you are suggesting. thank for the advice friend!

Buy a used/refurbished D/7xxx crop sensor body or a ccd D90.
>>3028596
F100 or a cheap F80.

D90 is cmos, friend. D80 is ccd.
