Sup, I'm searching for the best low budget wide angle lens for my Nikon D7100 (DX).
I'm thinking about something mostly for landscape photos and >maybe< some indoors (small rooms).
Fisheyes are a no-no.
I was thinking about:
Tamron: 10-20mm
Sigma 10-20mm
Tokina: 11-16mm
or
Samyang 14mm
Nikkor 18-105 (it's the kit lens)
Any suggestions which one of those is the best? Or maybe you have other in mind?
Bought a sigma 10-20 for 240 and I absolutely love it. One of my favorite lenses honestly.
Tokina 11-16. Super sharp, f2.8, 77mm filter thread, excellent build. There's samples in the Sucralose Thread shot on a D7000 with that lens.
Opteka 6.5mm f/3.5 (re-branded samyang 8mm 3.5).
This lens produces a stereographic projection, so you obtain easily defishable images to create 180 degree rectilinear landscapes.
For the same price you have a real fisheye just for shits and giggles.
>160$ online
>Very sharp if you know how to handle apperture and focus manually
>Metallic body and mount
>Keeps contrast and flares under control like a boss without fancy coatings, very good lens design.
Also hyperfocal distance is 0.4m at f/8 so you can just leave it permanently like that.
