As the originator of that thread, I'd like to talk about my experiences so far with this former soviet union camera.

Post pictures as well!

Yes, I will be posting pictures as well.
I totally dozed off after making this thread last night, whoops!
Part of my reasoning behind buying this special function camera was to bring it along while I travelled up the Pacific Northwest. I wanted something that would make a more unique photograph so I could remember this trip a little better and have some cool mementos from the places I went. I noticed early on that there were major light leaks - and I still haven't figured out what causes them exactly - but the results from the trip I took turned out pretty well.

wow that looks cool as fuck.
any more shots?
>>3025071
Thanks! Yes, more incoming as I scan and edit them. I only really got one good roll through the camera, so I only have a few shots, but I have to say that after messing with the camera and managing its negatives and positives I think its safe to say it was worth buying it.
...but it did need a certain modification, and its still not working 100% perfectly! I'll go into the modification if anyone is interested. It took a bit of internet scouring to figure out how to get this thing to focus closer in..
One of the things I really have to keep reminding myself NOT to do is hold the camera in the 'normal' way while shooting. If you hold it like any other camera that you use, you will wind up getting your hands in the shot. Heres an example of a photograph I was really excited about, but was kind of disappointed when i looked at the bottom left.

so, is this like a scanner? can you go back and scan more stuff if you already twisted all the scan thingy?
>>3025080
I'm not sure I follow you here. I am currently scanning 35mm photographs and posting them after I edit them in lightroom.
To be clear, this is a 35mm panoramic camera that has a swinging lens element. When you advance the film, you also turn the front element to the left, and when you press the shutter button, it opens the aperture and rotates the lens element to the right, thus giving you a panoramic image equivalent in size to about or a little more than two full frame photos put together.
