Hi /p/
Been living in Japan for a while, I get a break for work when it closes down for maintenance, during spring for a week which Ill take an additional week off.
Currently in remote Gunma area. I know many places are going to get super crowded for sakura season since its popular and short.
So was wondering where I can go that has fantastic scenery for photographing that isnt overcrowded.
Kyushu?

Wakayama-ken. Mie-ken. The whole Kii-hanto is rugged, remote, and beautiful. Plus amazing onsen, like yunomine, amazing temples like the Kumano sanzen and Koya-san. The Kumano Kodo trail. Beautiful beaches. No brainer
Mie-Ken reporting in. If I were you I'd look into Gifu, Fukui, Mie, and Wakayama. Just don't go anywhere that is known for sakura and you should be fine at avoiding crowds. The good thing about the Japanese hivemind is they flock to a couple super popular places and everything else remains vacant.

Kyoto here.
Stay the fuck away, so many tourists....
That said, some inaka place like Kyushu or Shikoku would probably be pretty good.
