I'm new to /p/ in general but it appears to me that you "mutted" some nice original colors like the street's concrete and overall I really don't like the composition.
But anyways as I stated before I'm newfag tbqh sempai

Sorry for bad english
>>
>>3013631

I don't think it's a good photo either, it was a random pick to test some things on photoshop.

I decreased some green from the low tones, the intensity of strong highlights, the overwall brightness and increased the contrast a little.
>>
>>3013635

*overall brightness
>>
So the end result is that you spend a few hours changing colors. It doesn't do anything for the image - it's still a shit photo and the time would've been better spend being out shooting.
>>
>>3013645

Hey, calm down. I'm still learning how to deal with photoshop. The photo i've used was just an illustration to open the thread, then other people could post their things.

I've done commercial architecture for a while now.

To fix perspective you have a few options
A shift lens - expensive, but the best way to do it,it's a lens that corrects for the perspective distortion caused when you point a camera up or down. the second shot was at 12mm, there is no shift lens that wide on the market, so I used...

Photoshop - Persepctive correction tool is nice and easy to use and gives good results fast. But if you want a REALLY quick option...

Lightroom - the "basci lens correction" toolset works for most images with straight edges, you can fine tune this.

The other aspects of these images are a fuck ton of cloning and healing to remove unwanted artifcacts and colour correction.

The first image looks so orange because I have a pink/blue coloured polariser on the lens (these are no longer available) which gives those weird colours, but when corrected in post can give some awesome results. Here's a yellow/blue and the pink/blue in use at the beach.

I'm new to photography and would like to learn post processing.
Is there one place to learn a lot of techniques? or is it one of those things where you're better off just googling whatever you're looking to do every time?
Please tell me there's a place for the first/most basic at least
First of you need to get Photoshop, Lightroom isn't required as the camera raw module in photoshop/bridge is the same thing.

Just fuck around with all the sliders in camera raw/lightroom. Find a picture you like the look of, and take a similar picture yourself and try to get it to look like the one you like. Just try every slider and option in camera raw/lightroom untill you know what they do.

Stage2 is going into photoshop where you gotta learn adjustment layers and masks, blend modes. Luminosity masks. Frequency Separation. Dodge&burn etc etc

Just remember there are a million different ways to achieve the same thing in post-processing. Some argue one workflow is better than another but it really just depends on how you prefer to do it.

Thank you very much. I've done a lot of stage one just messing around and trying to fix exposure on photos I've taken

Stage 2 is what has me scouring the internet every time I want to attempt anything. Finding 4 different ways to whiten teeth on one site alone is pretty wild. Gonna take a little time.
Thanks again
