>pentax in current year
Not even once, you should have made movements straight after the release of the k5, everyone now knows it takes you too long to deliver anything.
>>3006809
You probably didn't hear about the K-1 and the K-70 coming out last year and trumping all over landscape and studio cameras. Yes, an APS-C trumping and pissing over FF landscapers with a simple software utility of the sensor shift stabilization.
>>3006811
K70 has nothing new, k1 was 4 years too late, you have no lens, ltd lenses are crazy soft.
>>3006819
>nothing new
Pixel shift in entry level
>K-1
Just in time to revamp the DSLR market

Hnnng...
Does anyone have the drawing with a kid trying to steal a pentax to another kid and in the end they cry together because it's a pentax? It's a shitty drawing i was used to see on this board a lot
Some better pictures of it

Those are great specs if confirmed (except for AF, I have my doubts here) but aesthetics are shit imo, looks like a retarded plastic toy, and this is coming from a Pentax user. K3's look is vastly superior, especially for the gun metal version.
>>3009073
Yup, I agree. A Silver Edition K-3 is much more retro than this and the Df combined
Just look at it.
Still specs wise I can see a bright future for the next flagship 3-line APS-C camera. This looks more like a retro styled K-70II

Also on the AF, the K-3 Af is spot on and if RICOH keeps it's word for improving the tracking algorithm it can be a winner. Maybe even they release a firmware update for the K-3 line for improved AF tracking like with the KAF4 update.
>>3009047
That's literally nothing we haven't seen before in other cameras.
And it's Pentax's biggest problem - they make solid cameras, but they can't generate interest because they're always second, always late.
>Mfw I was litterally looking on Ebay for a Pentax K50 at work today
Is Pentax a meme? Because the pics looked dank and reviews seemed nice

What a shame. I thought Pentax would maybe step up this year.
They should just quit and go back to making compacts and MF bodies.

pentax is beast bro.

pic related

I dunno, I really like the look

The large majority of shit talking towards pentacks is a meme, yes. The cameras and lenses themselves are not

You know, even 7D II has 10 fps, still less than few mirrorless cameras. Because not having a mirror makes it easier you know.

You made my day anon, thanks for this drawing!

the K50 is pretty great for its price

Pentax makes very competent and cost-efficient DSLRs. The only area where they suck is video, but video DSLRs are a passing phase anyway.
They don't advertise much and don't make high-end professional gear or innovative stuff that makes the news, so they mostly fly under the radar, but if you need a solid enthusiast system with no lolpro aspirations, they're a better choice than Canikon imo.

hey, i dont know anything about photography but i just saw a pentax p3/p30 film camera for sale in a second hand shop for 15$. Was wondering if anyone here could let me know wether or not its worth getting
>>3009745
It's not a K-1000 or ME Super but if the light meter works you will have a lot of fun shooting with it. It has program mode for no thrills fun shooting.
>>3009557
>pentax
>leaf shutter
Keep trying bby.
>>3010509
Pentax has leaf shutter lenses, baby, both 6x7 and 645 systems
>>3009073
I agree, the K3s look so much better. They should have made the pentaprism NOT stick out to the front. And lower the PENTAX plate a little so it doesn't look like a huge forehead on those tiny limited lenses. I don't understand why it's so fucking huge when the actual pentaprism hardly protrudes any higher than the viewfinder, and not at all to the front. I'm not saying it should be a flat box up there, the triangle-shape is actually quite pleasing, but it shouldn't have that typical DSLR pentaprism lip. Looks really dumb on a "retro" style camera with small lenses.
