Fucking gross.

Anyway, how can we help you? Would you like to learn how to take better pix? Also, what is this meme of getting off your bike and propping it up against something and taking a picture of it? I've been bicycle commuting for a decade and have never once did that except when I first buy a bike so I have it for evidence in case it gets ganked.

I like taking pictures of my bicycles at my favorite spots. When I just go out and commute or whatever I usually don't, but when I go ride a few hundred kilometers I like documenting parts of the ride.

Oh and, what made me start doing it I think is a website called Pedal Room. I don't use it but I found it and saw cool pictures people posted of their bikes at cool places and decided I wanted to start doing the same thing.

Fucking kill yourself you piece of shit fucking faggot. Who the fuck do you think you are? Why the fuck do you think you have the right to kill, torture, maim, and eat leafy green vegetables? Fucking swear to god I hope your car turns over down the side of a cliff and catches fire and barbecues your faggot plant-star carnivoring body before you fall in the motherfucking river where your body goes on to feed nitrates through to all plantlife downstream.

The planets being deforested (PLANTS) and overpopulated (MEAT) and you're eating the fucking plants. Fuck you you make me fucking sick.

I've seen you at /n/. You should be BaconRider's nemesis, but I've never seen an argument break out.

Do you do any DH? I'm mainly singletrack, but love downhill... last time was at night, alone. I probably won't do it in the dark again. Not so much the fear, but lack of speed. And also the fear.

Advice? I'd say that unless there's some other interesting thing you want to photograph, try getting closer to your subject, so as to fill the frame. Squatting down to the same height as your bike also makes for a more interesting picture. If you want to get creative, you could use part of your bike to frame some interesting thing in the distance.

Several of your photos have a slight dull spot in the center, not sure what that's about.

>>3004274
>If you have advice, sure

I do. First of all, literally all of your pictures are taken from eye level height, looking down. You'll instantly improve your photos if you start crouching down to the bike's level.

Second, don't just put your bike front and center for every single photo. It makes your composition very same-y and doesn't give you a good sense of your surroundings. Instead, imagine that you're folding your photo in thirds horizontally, like a letter you're putting in an envelope. Then, imagine you're folding it in thirds again, but vertically instead. You want your bike to be on one of those intersections of the fold. This leaves much more room in your photo for the surroundings, while still putting your bike in an area where the eye will naturally fall.

Third, try not to shoot into the sun. Your phone's fairly-cheap camera won't do a good job of handling the highlights and you'll end up with huge swaths of blown-out sky. Try to shoot with either the sun at your back, or your side.

Finally, spend a little amount of time either while shooting or while processing to get your horizon level. It just takes a few seconds, but makes all the difference in making your photo look professional.

I suppose this set is worth posting again though I want to take another swing at it next time I'm home.

1986 Ciocc SL
Frame-off restoration, original chrome
Full Ultegra 600 6400 Tri-color groupset with NOS 600EX chain
Mavic Open 4CD rims on Challenge Criterium tires
Frame has about 10,000 miles since restoration and 1000 miles on the 6400 groupset.

Cliffnotes version of how I got it

>friend calls me up, says I got a free bike I found in the trash looks about your speed
>pick it up and quietly realize what I'm looking at
>strip it down and build it with entry level shimano stuff
>strip it down again and do frame restoration
>frame was sold because i was broke
>bought it back
>pieced a 6400 groupset together and built it in a bike shop in one day with some swearing and a lot of beer

The middle is really a poor use of the frame, since you don't get enough of either the ground or the sky.

But wherever you put it, make sure that it's parallel to the bottom of the frame. You want that shit straight and level.

Built this as a troll bike for the trails here, found out it actually rode well. Used it to get to a lot of the really remote locations I've posted here. It's been up over the sealed headset in the swamp water.....twice.

I'm going to upgrade the fork, rear spring assembly and probably the shifter setup. It's very plush and stops on a dime. The only real complaint I have is that it weighs as much as a Smart Car.

>2007 Mongoose XR250 Wal-Mart bike
>Avid BB7 203mm rotors on BB7 mechanical calipers
>Shimano Deore 8-speed with sealed bb
>Some sort of adjustable RST front fork
>Some giant Maxxis tires with liners and thorn-resistant tubes

I've done some intermediate and advanced trails on it, no jumps. It will crawl over about anything. If I can get a decent suspension under it I might throw some money at the drivetrain and shift into maximum trollerdrive.
