I like >>3002470 and >>3002473 because you would expect to see people walking around but there aren't any, which makes them mysterious/more interesting. Not a fan of the remaining pictures, they don't really tell anything to me.

I like this one a lot, but I'm not sure the color really does anything for the image. It accents well considering everything else is monochromatic, but when your eyes are drawn to something as boring as the arm of a small crane or a handrail it's kind of disappointing. Try it in black an white.

that's a funny and keen observation. it is for that very reason that I am not so thrilled about the last couple pictures--I wish they had a bit more depth and expansiveness and didn't compositionally isolate the subject so much. Partly because I think that the image quality on these is generally pretty poor, and would detract from more focused, intimate shots that depend on the expression of a single subject. I kinda want the vivid hues and garish colours of the construction paraphernalia to stand out obtrusively or even obnoxiously within the settings depicted.

I'm always impressed when people shoot with intent - I'm still transitioning from Flickr tier bullshit / whoring for likes, so kudos for actually using photography for some kind of documentary purpose.

I really liked the light and scenery at the time, but I didn't know how to handle the foreground of that setting which is quite dense and uneven--I sort of ignored it or treated it like plain flat ground. As a result the composition is pretty sub-par in that image but if I cropped off the left 1/5th of the image to try fix it I'd be entering into turd-polishing territory.
