The entire right side of the frame is distracting. Do a vertical crop of the left side and you'll see how much more impact the image has.
You've got two decent photos crammed into one frame. Like the first reply said it distracts from each other. Left side is definitely the better shot because of the more interesting subject and the water spray, but the right side would still be a comfy landscape of sorts. Maybe boring but still comfy.
Also I'm sure this wasn't a planned shot, so I understand not being in the right place at the right time. But if you had the ability moving in ALOT closer to get the dude and the crashing wave to fill the whole frame would've been really nice.
You could just crop it to more of a pano view to eliminate the excess waves that distract. Granted not a perfect solution, but it does give it a somewhat better perspective.

p cool op, just a lot going on. maybe would be cool if you printed it big.
I'm a completely layman in photography, but it seems pretty cool to me
Thanks for your input guys, I'll post the original picture (non cropped), once i get to my other computer..
In fact I cropped it that way because i like the diagonal thingy on the bottom right corner. I feel that it does a nice separation between the calm ground and the chaotic sea.
And yeah it wasnt a planned shot.
Also sorry for bad english, but in France i'm considered fluent, that's how bad we are at speaking english !
Yea, really not disturbing me that you took such a wide shot. It's actually nearly a 'style', that many photographers use and that I personally love.
The true value will be brought out when you print it, like some else pointed out, print it big.

Print it big like the anon above pointed it out but print the version posted in the OP
Try and find a professional printing service and use quality paper with nice texture so the small errors, softness, artifacts will not be apparent.
Nice job, I can totally imagine this hanging from someones wall in A2 size print or bigger
