Hey guys. 150€ is a good price for Minolta 50mm f1.2 ? lens has some fungus (not too much) and there is a little damage on lens hood.
what? no
i paid $30 for my srt 101 and it came with that lens
>150 yurobux for a cheap lens with fungus
You just got cucked my guy.
guys it's not f2. it's f1.2
Doesn't really matter what you paid for it - if it's got fungus, it shouldn't be used. The chances of the fungus migrating to your other lenses/cameras isn't worth the 1.2.

Not to mention that the fungus would have etched into the glass making an already soft lens even softer.
idk man but its a sweet lens. ive had mine for like 5 years.

Why would you use a minolta slr in the first place?
>>2992449
why not? mine is a beast. still going since the late 1980s.

Put it out in the sun and keep it away from your gear, the fungus can spread
>buying a lens with fungus for hipster prices
top kek m8
I've got a water damaged, rusted Zeiss 85mm 1.4, you wannae take it off ma hands for a solid £300?
>>2992449
Maybe he plans to use it with an adapter. Either way, the old MC mount Minoltas were absolute tanks of cameras.
How can I check for fungus? I recently got a 50mm 1.7 on ebay
Didn't know that could spread
>>2992436
You wish bro. Nice b8 m8.
>>2992503
it's actually not fungus that you knew. but it can spread and makes softer your image. google it and check images. it's easy to recognize. and 50mm 1,7 is a good lens and easy to find. if it is too bad, buy a new one. or you can buy a lens spanner and try to clean it for gain some experience.
>>2992440
This lens with with the others would hardly increase the chance of the fungus spreading. Fungal spores are everywhere.
>>2992480
take it and try to stick in your ass.

Shine a light through the lens and look through it at different angles. Lens fungus normally manifests itself as spots, a pale haze, or web like network.
Generally speaking, if there's dust in the lens then there's a greater chance that fungus could grow there. Lenses straight out of the factory are relatively sterile inside and fungus can't grow in conditions such as those; but the addition of organic material like dust (The type you have in your house, not the type in the desert) can give fungus something to feed off of and allow it to get enough to grow from.

It's a pretty big lens. I-I'm not as experienced as the rest of /p/

your pic lacks sharpness
