Canon Sureshot 80u. $5 new from a thrift shop, objectively it's a terrible camera in every respect. Lens is slow as fuck and vignettes out the ass, viewfinder might as well not exist and it chews through batteries like OP sucks dicks.

Only reason I like it is because it's got a bunch of fun 'party' modes and you can put it in a pocket and carry it with you on a night out really easily.

Bumping to request advice from those versed with compacts. I ran into an opportunity to buy a Mamiya M, but of course the seller wants me to name the price. It seems like an overall improvement to my clunky Hi-Matic AF2, but I can't really find any going rate for one. Doesn't seem like a very common camera. How much would you bid for one of these, pee? I could use a dependable compact with less erratic AF than Hi-Matic's.
