generally I'd say you have to work on your lighting technique and composition. Natural light is usually modified for professional portraits because the ratios you get are too high. your portraits are all centered subjects with boring backgrounds, and sometimes the perspective is too high (>>2984757)

with leading lines you really have to be careful. you think you're directing the viewer up to the top of the ladder, but you're really directing him down to her ass. it would read a little better if you flipped it left to right (we read left to right) but her pose and position are just too accentuated. and she doesn't look active enough, she looks posed

awkward expression and poor choice of setting. she does not look like a little girl, she looks like a woman. so a scene with cat ears in red light is just tawdry. she looks like a beleaguered eastern european hooker in a national geographic, all it's missing is the out of focus crib in the background. it's great to experiment, but you need practice to figure out what works for certain body types and how to speak with models (especially inexperienced ones) to put them at ease and generate good, candid, facial expressions. the athletic angle was a good idea, but you didn't capture anything personal in those shots because we don't see her face. one thing I notice is your choice of angle accentuates her chin too much. if she was facing more towards the camera it would be more flattering. the red photo is actually a decent pose in a sense, just a horrible setting and expression.
