How Many Photos Have You Taken This Year?
Maybe 100, give or take.
Mostly b&w, but also some velvia the last two months.

1392 according to Lightroom, though probably about half are for timelapses
I'm up to around 9,900
only about 2000 on my a7 (got it 2 months ago), about 1000 on my phone.
Around 4000 since I got my camera in June.

2000 easy
>5 rolls of 220 = 120 frames
>13 rolls of 120 = 156 frames
>8 rolls of 35mm = 288 frames
>~1000 digi snapshits
>~1500-1600 total photos
like 700 or so
Around 170
>tfw that's all digital
>tfw you only go shooting like once a month
I guess that's not too bad actually, considering I'm a landscape/nature faggot
DSLR: 8209
Phone: 84
About 11,000 with my "real" cameras, another 3300 with my phone.
Y'all need to shoot more.
>>2983923
>Y'all need to shoot more.
Not all of us are still in the talentless snapshitting stage, friend.
really? I'm the highest so far?
there's more but it's on an external drive that just got mailed for repair.
can't wait for my shutter to die
50 rolls of 35mm
20 rolls of 120
Maybe 10,000 digital across a variety of cameras
>>2983924
>Not all of us are still in the talentless snapshitting stage, friend.
Nah, it seems like you've skipped right along into the "salty uninspired gearfag" stage.
Congrats!
>>2983935
you sound a bit mad m8, must have been the truth :^)
According to Lightroom, 29,308 photos since the first of the year :/
Pic related: Literally the first photo I took in 2016... lol

since I got my first DSLR this year and I'm a snapshitter, about 20k right now
>>2983724
>How many retarded posts have you made on /p/ this year?
10,000
OP you've elicited absolutely nothing of value here, you could have at least asked what our fucking keeper rate was or something.
>>2983996
So... 0 on both counts then?
>>2983987
Don't assume that because you take a lot of photos, you're a snapshitter. You should strive to shoot that many photos every year. No one ever got better by not shooting photos.
>>2983996
Are you mad bro? Is your life shit?
Don't answer
;^)
>>2983727
dont take any more
>>2983724
A lot. A better question would be "How Many Photos Have You Deleted This Year?"
About 10000. Lightroom is at about 8000, I haven't counted how many rolls of film or how many phone pics in addition.
>>2984501
wow what a quipster! are you from reddit?
>anonymous people answering pointless question
Excellent thread, OP.
These are the high standards ensured by our autist mods.
>>2983724
Whatever my post number is.
>ROLLAN
Around 4,000 but probably 2,000 were rubbish getting to know my first DSLR and randomly shooting stuff in my house
>>2984476
That bad?
More important than quantity is consistency. Forcing yourself to take ten different photos every day will make you a better photographer than sporadically shooting a hundred photos once a week.
So the real question is, who shoots every damn day?
If you count video, around 175,000.
If you don't, around 3,000.
>>2984734
I like the picture
>>2983724
Around 16k (13.5k on MILC that are currently in LR, deleted phots, some on phone). But around 4k of those were 3-exposure bracketed scans of film negatives and diapositives.
>>2983724
Dang! Sweet thread OP. Too bad there won't be anymore to post in after you fucking kys
Maybe like 200 at the most. I have become picky in my old age. If my retinas do not get hard over a scene, or subject, it does not get shot.
>>2983727
I like it. I like the flatness of it.
>>2984734
It's a bit underexposed and the colours look a little muddy and gross, but it's not that bad.
I hope it's not your best photo though
>>2985010
>It's a bit underexposed
Velvia 50 does not scan well with my V750. The slides look better.
>your best photo
I don't know. Maybe some of my b&w stuff.

33675 just from my slr. cbf to include film and phone.
I don't even want to check.
I just wish this year would be over already.

Not more than 1k probably
I mostly take pictures when I travel but I only went to 5 countries this year, all of them in Europe
Next year I am going to go to 11-13 countries across 4 continents though so my picture count should go up
A few hundred since I got my camera in October.
>>2983724
probably 2000ish
Lots of digi snap shits, lots of film snap shits
365
About 800 on film and 4000 on digital.
6763.
I'm a birder so it a little low I think.
12K are left, im deleting at least 2/3 of my pictures.
Dont know how much taken with phone.

About 7-8K - got about 4K in Lightroom still, could probably lose almost 1K without losing too much.
Around 2000. I'm honestly not sure if I should shoot more or not, but it's hard for me to get out my camera, raise it to my eye/set it on a tripod and take a shot I'm not satisfied with what I'm looking at and what I expect to get. But maybe if I experimented more I would discover new things as well.
>>2984766
>Forcing yourself to take ten different photos every day will make you a better photographer than sporadically shooting a hundred photos once a week.
Are you sure about that? Do you really thinking "forcing" photos is better than relying on gut and personal taste and only shooting when you really think it's worth shooting?
>>2986347
Do you think Michealangelo only carved masterpieces?
Did Van Gogh only paint miraculous works?
Did Bresson only capture decisive moments?
No, practice makes perfect.
>>2986177
Noice!
>>2986448
>Did Bresson only capture decisive moments?
Yeah...
About 50,000ish shutter count
>>2986448
Yeah, obviously despite your efforts you won't always get keepers. My point was that sometimes the light just isn't good or the scene isn't set up right - of course I'm basing this off my own method of going out and taking photos, not setting up scenes in a studio so what you said might apply better to other photographers.
Lemme put it this way, I go out multiple times a week and bring my camera with me, in the event I manage to find a scene or particular light that speaks to me enough. But I don't bother to bring the camera out unless I feel that urgency to do so. There's nothing to "practice" really, I don't just randomly shoot things hoping something turns out. I just wait for the right moment.
6k Raws not all get edited or sent out thats only since I started organizing them by date. just over 1 year with my camera. getting the itch to switch
>>2983724
something like 180
Not as many as I should have, I'm going to sell my D3200 and pick up a mirrorless so I can carry the camera in my pocket at all times so I'll end up shooting more.
>>2987899
You know at least 50% of the cameras weight and size will still be determined by the lens.
It's not like you can just slap a 100-400 tele onto your mirrorless and have it in your pocket.
And when you compare it to a DSLR with lets say a shitty 35 or 50mm you gain 2 cm of body depth, it's not like a snapshit compact that has the form factor of a smartphone.
Less than 100.
All of them on my phone just documenting stupid shit I built or fixed.
I don't know what happened. I used to love talking photos.
>>2987899
The d3200 is tiny as fuck. The size of the camera isnt the reason you dont take it out more
>>2988270
>>2988354
I use the D2300 with a 35mm prime and it's still fat as hell and doesn't fit in the pocket of my jacket, a mirrorless with a kit lens does. Sure, it's not the main reason why I don't shoot as often, but with the D3200 I have to plan ahead and bring my backpack with me when I want to go out and shoot, with a mirrorless I can just carry it with me whenever I leave the house.
30 rolls of 135
10 rolls of 120
>>2988356
Case in point, a mirrorless with the kit lens is as big as the D3200 without a lens
I thought the count was rather low until I looked at my previous years. It's actually not that bad, comparatively. I still need to get out more.
>>2988363
post 2006
>>2988361
except that's a shitty fucking lens that no one should use. the size advantage disappears once you use a lens that actually works, and in a lot of cases becomes a disadvantage in terms of ergonomics.

I actually had photos from 2005 & 2006 on an old hard drive that were unfortunately lost to time. Somehow, for some reason, I managed to save this one. The other photo from 2006 is exactly the same but upsampled (not sure exactly what I was trying to do).
>>2988530
2008 was when I got my first DSLR. They're all SOOC jpgs from a Pentax k200d, and they're all terrible.
