I guess the first thing is you should've cleaned the mirror
The light is a little hard, which I guess you wanted, but the speculars from it are really harsh. there are a couple places where I think I see chromabs too
the sky doesn't fit well enough to make sense in the emotional scheme, it's a little too cheerful, it also makes it very clear that it's not natural and you just underexposed.
you probably should've lit your reflection a little more for this and tried to cut down (at least in size) that distracting out of focus rim light on your hair (so change angles) although I can't tell you for sure at what point it would start to look "cute"
one thing you can do for this sort of shoot is use a stand-in to get the light right, but with digital you can always work by trial and error

a few words about why your photos are shit
LIGHT
if you look up similar pictures you will typically see a sunset on the horizon, with a sunstar or colorful clouds to draw your attention. that's because the landscdape is so flat and empty you need something else to draw your interest. here, everything is softly lit. so all you're left with is the boring landscape and the boring clouds. boring.
additionally, your foreground is underexposed, so even if you were trying to look fashionable 15 years ago, you would have to brighten the grass
COMPOSITION
what is supposed to be interesting about this photograph? where is the viewer going to look? when you include a leading line as blunt as a road, the eye will generally travel along that road to see what's at the end. in this sense the first photograph is much stronger. the road guides you left-to-right, and you end up in the mountains. but the mountains aren't big enough to be interesting. you need to change perspective (get closer) if they are really your subject. with the second photo, your eye is drawn along the left border, and also to the upper right corner to the barn (both ar uninteresting). this is poor design -- it is best to avoid placing centers of interest near the frame, and your eye should travel easily between them, not feel like it's being pulled in opposite directions. a photograph (especially this sort) should pull you in, not push you out. with an effective landscape you often won't be aware that the frame is even there.
more generally, what is the scheme of this photo? it's two equal rectangles divided by a centered horizon. this is ESPECIALLY static and you'd make it more dynamic with the rule of thirds
CONTENT
why is the powerline in this photo? why is the fence there? these objects do not belong in these photo, it feels like you deliberately tried to avoid them. either find a way to work around them or incorporate them more effectively. think about the things that you put in your frame.

always make sure that your b&w photos have the entire range of tones: pure white to pure black. you don't really have a pure white in this photo, at least not on my monitor (which admittedly isn't calibrated), but make sure you pay close attention to this. it will give your photos a far stronger presence, otherwise they're just muddy and a little confusing to look at

You could have lifted the highlights slightly, it's very muddy as is. I get it was dull winters day but it still would have felt brighter than rendered in your photo.

it just looks underexposed, I'd brighten up the sky a bit. wheel should be further down in frame, not centered -- we want to see past it, too. OR get in closer. and your red channel's blown but honestly the only way I can see around that with this light is to use a color filter

yeah, I thought you might've gone wider. maybe including the roof is better, but either way it's shit. the subtext of this photo is "look-what-I-can-see-from-my-hotel!", the foreground is only an inconvenience really. you spent a lot of time making sure that the frame was parallel to the columns at a good distance, without really considering what was in your photograph. When you look at that foreground, what do you think about? it looks gray and lifeless and boring. fresh snow over everything, e.g. would look a lot more appealing. now, if you wanted the mountains to provide a contrast to that, you'd want to frame differently. you'd want more of the mountains, or you'd want them to look closer, or more appealing. and you might even want the foreground to look more mundane. no road leading you to the mountains, you should feel trapped there. maybe a repetitive framing of tract homes.

So for an example of what I'm talking about, this photo would look better if you cropped to just the mountains and the road that runs parallel to them and the sky. no buildings, no leading road necessary. just a horiozntal scheme, just the thing that you, the photographer, were interested in in the first place. One way of looking at the failure of this photo is, fundamentally, you have a horizontal scheme (the mountains) over a vertical scheme (the foreground buildings and road. they clash.

you've got some kind of weird aliasing going on in that photo from the grain? there's a grid pattern in the sky.

Holy shit how horrifying! Do Sonybros have to put up with this shit? The first one also shows the massive purple fringing in the highlights but the overall IQ is shit.
This is just sad, a bad lens ruining a nice shot like the first one.
Second is meh.

Protip, just get a Pentax SMC-M 50/1.7 and focus manually, or an SMC-M 35/2. Nice normal lens for crop.

they don't fit together to me, very different themes. this one celebrates artifice and the first one rebels against it. this one makes more sense in an architecture series to me.
the only technical quibble I have is it's a shame the signs are blown out

Really noisy image and really unnatural-looking light that makes you want to look away from the photo. Framing the horizon where you've put it is really boring especially when the sky is so visually uninteresting. Birds are framed awkwardly and your eye isn't drawn to where I think you wanted it to be.
