Been using this for a month traveling, held up great, discrete and comfortable

What the fuck is that? I'd be embarrassed to wear it.

This looks kosher. Do you have a name or at least a bigger picture?

It was summer and I wasnt camping, was traveling in asia. I repurposed the tripod strap at the bottom and attached a small bag for clothes. T shirts, shorts underwear; all I needed for summer travelling

Thinking of getting an fstop bag. They're built for carrying cameras over rugged terrain and look pretty interesting, allowing a bit of customization.

But they're like $300. I'm planning to do more climbing and really want to carry a camera safely, and I'd use it most weekends for sports stuff too, but 300 freedom bucks plus shipping to bongland seems a steep price.

Anyone use one?

>shit tier national geographic bag
meme or not it's still a legitimately good bag for an equally good price (for the chinese knockoffs that is), even though "National Geographic" printed all over the inside makes me feel like a pretentious cunt
>>
Thinking on picking up a shitty looking messenger back to put a camera insert in but I want a Euro brand and I can't find any that aren't from travel equipment sites. Anyone have any general everyday brands (Think America's Jansport) that don't look like I'm bracing for the weather on top of a mountain and have money?

Good to hear, so keen on copping it in the near future. Yeah the autofocus and fps aren't too important for my needs, so that's all good
>>
OP here, thanks for the replies so far.

>>2962364
This one looks the best for my needs so far. Even has room for my laptop.

>>2962475
I don't like the way the small pocket on this one opens allowing access to the main compartment. It's too easy for a thief to open it up and grab your camera without you even knowing. At least with others they have to unzip all the way around the top.

>>2962729
If you spend good dough on cameras and lenses, then why not spend the extra for protection and peace of mind? Just imagine if you're out climbing and drop your cheap bag and fuck up all your kit...

If they weren't so heavy, I'd invest in Peli cases for my gear. My camera is my little beauty.

>>2962739
Just search on Amazon. There are hundreds man. The Jansport ones don't look that bad either.

Name me a backpack that allows me to put my camera in whether there's a mounted telephoto or standard lens. It should fit 1 dslr, 4 lenses (of which one is the telephoto), 1 flashgun.

Currently I'm using the Lowepro Flipside Sport 15L AW that only fits my stuff with either the mounted telephoto or standard lens, but not both.

Image related, taken from random youtube guy.

The only downfall of this bag is that, you need to unzip the entire large pouch if your laptop is in it. You can't unzip half way and bend the bag to get camera gear, so that's kinda upsetting, but not the end of the world.

I own this one. Extremely sturdy, works good for what it's supposed to be used for, which is one-day trips. For me, the camera compartment can fit two bodies and four lenses plus hoods. The rest can go into the upper compartment. The straps are super comfy, and never chafe even after a whole day of carrying 15+ kilos. The bottom (i.e. abdomen) clips were designed with non-manlets in mind though. I wish there were more straps on its sides so that it would be easier to attach extra gear which doesn't fit inside, i.e. water canteens. Also, it is small enough to take as a cabin luggage. The price you pay for the build quality is the weight, obviously.

Purchased this thing for 50 bucks or so a couple of weeks ago from the Chineese. Was looking for a backpack that wouldn't scream "camera inside" to cc a dslr on a daily basis because I got tired of wrapping my camera in something soft and placing it in the same compartment with the other stuff.
So far it is alright for what I paid for it, however the tension locks are poorly (i.e. like shit) designed and let the straps slip little by little when walking and especially running, i.e. oscillating up and down. Will have to fix that. The straps themselves will probably get uncomfortable when the backpack is loaded to the brim, thankfully I don't intend to. The provided rain cover is xboxhueg for no reason. Without it the backpack can keep its contents intact under a non-torrential rain for a while though, probably except for the laptop compartment. The camera compartment is adequately padded.
Getting the camera out is not nearly as easy as doing the same with a Lowepro and it's even harder to put it back in because the frame isn't exactly rigid and the zippers don't feel too sturdy too. If it's the same with the original backpack which sells for like 200 bucks then I feel sorry for the fools who bought it. The upside is that the zipper is sorta hidden between the folds and is inconspicuous.
