Where are the digital photographs with good color and tones?

I can't remember the last time I admired the colors of a digital photograph. All the digital photos I found good were so only because of the composition.
>>
Canon's colors almost make up for the dynamic range.

there are an unthinkably large number of factors which create the tonality of film (its a series of non-quantified and imprecise chemical reactions after all), but what stands out the most is that there is never a true white or a true black. digital photographer who try to replicate film always fail because 1. they have no sense of subtlety and 2. they grossly underestimate the complexity of tonality in films.

if digital photographers would just never look at a film photo in their life and focus on editing the pictures based on colour theory and the basic principles which apply to any artform, instead of just hopelessly trying to emulate another medium, it would look so much better

And because it's so random and imprecise, you can't really say a film emulation doesn't look like film, because film can look like anything. Here's VSCO and it looks like Fuji Superia 200 almost exactly.

AHAHAHAHA KYS FUCKING IDIOT

I don't think a picture could get any more pretentious than this.

it's a coffee pot
>>
Digital color images tend to fall into either the "too literal" or "obvious editing" camps.

Get an M8 and you'll find what you're looking for (namely weirdo colors from a digital camera).

It's a shame.
>>
>>2958539
An RD1 or any CCD camera would work, really.
>>
>>2958527
That's a handcrafted artisan coffee pot to you, pleb, with lathe-turned native timber burnished w/ organic beeswax and vegetal-tanned camelhide toggle-string.
But then again I bet you just drink espresso, like a toxic cis-het male...
>>
>>2958595
Not to mention the coffee is being hand made with an artisanal drip pour method.

No problem with digital color and tone after printing. Your just reacting to viewing sRGB jpgs on different devices. It's like complaining about the color and tonality of slide film when viewed on a subpar projector aimed at an off-white wall.
>>
>>2958373
Why can't digital look as good as that photo? I can't put my finger on what it exactly is. If this was taken with digital it would look more harsh and less soft.

The only reason not to shoot film almost exclusively is because we're poorfags tbvh familia.
I mean, look at those fucking tones. So warm, smooth transitions from highlights to shadows... God, we're going backwards more and more day by day...

thats because poorfags cant into masterplan:

>buy all film types and all sort of cameras and formats
>enjoy the god tier mechanical and chemical engineering of 70 years of film technology development simultaneously
>hoard and shoot it all until it depletes or no one develops your special snowflake slides or whatever
>embrace digital once its passable aka. 30 years from now
>convert your film cameras into digital hybrids because why the fuck not
>look at your 6x7 velvia slides in your deathbed and enjoy the sweet memories while you softly drift into a more peaceful place

but plebs cannot into planning for the best future. they are dancing maggots for the corporations and i can only laugh at them.

Basically what this guy said. Many people lack the knowledge of complimentary colours amongst many other things. Has nothing to do with the camera, you either just know your theories & software or you don't.

They are here on my HDD hidden from everywhom.

Upload a better example (better than a car's rear at sunset) of what you expect to be good tone and colour and I will try to find a match for your expectations.
