I'm new to this photography world but I was hoping you could nudge me in the right direction. I bought a cheap 1200D to learn the basics, what apperture is, shutterspeed, iso etc. and how to work it all out on the camera in manual mode and I feel I pretty much got that down.
I have a 18-55mm kit lens, and bought a 50mm 1,8 prime for my canon.
BUT what kind of lens is used for the shot in the attachment? I feel the kit-lens doesn't give me any bokeh at all when I'm close up shooting wide, and im not able to go far enough away from the subject in the room with the 50mm.. It seems like the lens used is some sort of wide-low f stop lens?? What would you say ???

get a smegma 30 1.4
maybe a 50mm prime
Surely a 50mm on FF. Buy a 30 or 35mm. And a decent lighting setup.

A full frame body and fast glass.
This shot is probably taken with a 24-70 2.8
A sony a7ii, sigma mc11 and tamron 28-75 2.8 could be had for about £1400 second hand.
OP here, so a 35mm 1,8 aps-c would make the shot?
