ITT weird camera shit.
>>2946451
Not weird, it's a Peltier cooler or thermoelectric cooler. Expensive as fuck but it means a lot of difference on long exposure stacks.
Usually for astrophotography.
>>2946453
Let's be honest here, it's kinda weird
Super cool though
>>2946451
wtf is that?
>>2946478
ITS SOME WEIRD FUCKING SHIT
WEIRDEST IVE SEEN
>>2946451
I don't see why this wasn't done with a full frame camera, but I guess it has to do with the fact that you can flip the d5500 screen out and use it alongside the cooler. If they did this to a d750 or k1 (both have flippy screens) it would be seriously interesting.
>>2946597
Probably because most people want the crop telephoto effect for astro.
>>2946602
Really? I always see people clamoring for wide angles for that sort of thing
>>2946608
This sort of device would be used for deep field long exposures, so crop would be better for that sort of thing.
for less money you can buy a much better astrophotography camera.
>>2946453
If it's not weird how are you supposed to use the viewfinder? Upside down?
There's only 4 like this!

>>2946766
Jesus christ, I really want that.
I don't want the 50+ layers of dead human/animal skin though.
>>2946736
I think they just point the telescope to a specific location in space and put the camera where the eye should go.
>>2946775
Isn't it just a toy film camera?
This thing claims to be like a Polaroid that takes pictures of your aura, I wonder what sort of black magic it uses.

>>2946451
why didn't they mod a pentax instead?
this is a "D5500a" cooled camera for astrophotography
not weird, very useful with better sensor than 'CCDs' they use regularly
>>2946863
Look at the hand sensor. You place your hand on it, and it reads several bullshit parameters, applies arbitrary bullshit values to them, and generates an "aura" to superimpose on the image.
Basically, faggotry in its purest form.
>>2946608
Wide angle is babby-tier astrophotography.
>>2946608
You don't image Messier objects with wide angle.
>>2946736
You use the viewfinder on the telescope, duh.
>>2946479
Who is this tennis menace?
>>2948106
Martina Hingis
>>2948100
Just bought 1 for AU200. Have a screw mount to pentax converter coming in the mail. Lets see how long it takes the police to shoot me.
>>2948137
Take off the little spring right away from the adapter. You may thank me later.
>>2948142
Why?
>>2946479
HOLY GOOD LORD
I need to become a tennis photographer
>>2946863
this shit is genius. I like to think that the people behind the camera dont believe it's crap at all and are purely selling the product to take advantage of spirit people.
I would like to sell something like this someday, does this make me a bad person?

When a mommy D5500 and a Daddy Corsair CX are really in love, they do a special dance. Nine months later, out pops an affront to god.
